Apple and Major League Baseball announced the July schedule for “Friday Night Baseball,” confirming a weekly doubleheader streaming on Apple TV throughout the 2026 regular season across 60 countries and regions, according to an official league and corporate announcement.
The July slate highlights several marquee matchups with enhanced production quality, expert commentary, and no local broadcast restrictions for subscribers. Play gets underway on July 10 as the Boston Red Sox travel to Citi Field to take on Juan Soto and the New York Mets. On July 24, later in the month, the New York Yankees and reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge head to Philadelphia to battle Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Closing out the month on July 31 feature a pair of heated division rivalries. The Texas Rangers square off against the Houston Astros, while the San Francisco Giants head south to face the San Diego Padres.
For a limited time, eligible fans in the United States and Canada can access a one-month trial of Apple TV through July 5 via promotional channels to watch live games alongside original series and films, according to the announcement.
Broadcast teams returning for the fifth straight season feature Wayne Randazzo handling play-by-play alongside analyst Dontrelle Willis and sideline reporter Heidi Watney. A second crew pairs play-by-play announcer Alex Faust with analyst Ryan Spilborghs and sideline reporter Tricia Whitaker, while Rich Waltz joins the roster to call select games. Pregame coverage will be hosted by Lauren Gardner, former All-Star player Eric Hosmer, and insider Russell Dorsey.
Production for the broadcasts is managed by MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning production team in partnership with Apple’s live sports production group, with sponsorship presentation from Essilor and Goodyear.
