A Legacy of Growth and Excellence
Since its inception, the Torneo di Judo Città di La Maddalena has grown into a cornerstone of Sardinian judo. The event, which began as a local gathering, now attracts competitors from across the region, reflecting the sport’s increasing popularity. Antonio Isoni, a 4 dan judoka and organizer of the tournament, highlighted the event’s significance: “The level of technical skill among participants has improved year by year, and it’s rewarding to see both seasoned athletes and young talents thrive here.” The tournament’s success is also tied to its role in fostering a sense of camaraderie, with over 1,000 attendees, including families, coaches, and officials, creating a vibrant atmosphere of mutual support.
