Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – A badminton tournament was held this morning, March 29, 2026, in the Xuan Hoa district, aimed at promoting physical fitness and enhancing the cultural and spiritual lives of union members and workers in the area. The event, organized by the Xuan Hoa District Trade Union in collaboration with the Public Service Supply Center, took place as part of the “9th Hour” program at badminton court 291, Hoang Du Khuong Street 14/25, Hoa Hung Ward.

The tournament also serves as a significant event to commemorate the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, as well as the 80th anniversary of Vietnamese Sports Day. This initiative underscores the importance of physical activity and community engagement within the Xuan Hoa district.
Representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union, along with leading members of the Xuan Hoa District Party Committee, People’s Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended the opening of the tournament. The event brought together over 100 coaches and athletes from 38 sports clubs, competing in three categories: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.

Nguyen Thi My Huong, a member of the Party Committee, Deputy Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Hoa District, and Chairwoman of the Xuan Hoa District Trade Union, emphasized that the tournament provides a healthy recreational space aimed at fostering spiritual life and promoting physical training following the example of the late President Ho Chi Minh among officials and workers.
