“We are constantly striving to improve and expand the city’s sports facilities,” stated Plzeň Mayor Roman Zarzycký. “The football stadium in Štruncovy sady has been the venue for dozens of international matches for many years, so it is necessary to ensure adequate space for them to take place. After improving fire safety and repairing the roof over the main grandstand, we are now expanding the municipal stadium itself, which is the most visited sports facility in our city.”
