In an official statement, La Liga announced the decision to suspend the match on matchday 23 – which was scheduled for this Saturday, February 7th at 1pm – due to the bad weather that affected the condition of the field and the weather forecast for the next few hours.
«With the aim of guaranteeing the physical integrity of the players, La Liga decided to suspend the game of the 23rd round that was supposed to be played between Rayo Vallecano and Real Oviedo at the Vallecas Stadium this Saturday, February 7th, at 2 pm. The decision was taken after verifying that, at this moment, the field does not have the necessary guarantees to carry out the game in safe conditions»can be read in the official statement.
