The Trade Deadline barely digested, Milwaukee released a little smirk. The Bucks published a fake “breaking news” aimed at ESPN and its star insider, Shams Charania, with a simple idea: if someone is going to end up on the market, it’s not necessarily who everyone thinks.
On their official account, the Bucks have adopted the codes of the insiders: solemn tone, “Just In” formula, and pseudo-info on the future of Shams… except that the discussion does not revolve around an NBA transfer, but his role in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. The message implies that his best destination would be to stay on the team Giannis Antetokounmpo…or go elsewhere. In other words: welcome to the wonderful world of speculation, but this time, you’re the commodity.
Small element of context all the same: Shams Charania should play NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on February 13, and the coach of this team will be… Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Just In: Conversations have started about @ShamsCharania’s future, and discussing whether the ESPN Senior NBA Insider’s best fit is staying on Giannis’ All-Star Celebrity team or elsewhere. pic.twitter.com/IS6XMlQSPf

A humorous snub on the part of the franchise which must feel relieved (or not?) at the end of all these rumors in the corridors concerning the best player in its history… at least until July 1st.
