Scarborough Shooting: Teenager Killed – Updates

A 16-year-old boy died in hospital Thursday after being shot at a Tim Hortons branch at the corner of Lawrence Avenue East at Bellamy Road North in Scarborough, Toronto police said.

According to police, the victim’s name is Kian Sam.

The events occurred around 4:09 p.m. Thursday. Police responded to a call about a person who had been shot in the area. The victim was found and did indeed have gunshot wounds.

The victim was shot at a Tim Hortons store in Scarborough.

The victim was transported to hospital, where he died of his injuries. This is the second homicide in Toronto since the start of the year.

At the scene Thursday evening, Inspector Errol Watson of the Toronto police said that no Tim Hortons customers or staff members had been injured and that he did not know the number of suspects linked to this case.
