(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Bae Jin-nam = Professional basketball team Anyang Jeong Kwan-jang defeated Busan KCC and continued to chase the lead.

CheongKwanJang defeated KCC 91-79 in the 2025-2026 LG Electronics professional basketball regular league home game held at Anyang CheongKwanJang Arena on the 7th.

Cheong Kwan-Jang, who has won two games in a row, has 25 wins and 13 losses, narrowing the lead on leader Changwon LG (27 wins, 11 losses) to two games. In the season match against KCC, they continued their lead with 4 wins and 1 loss.

KCC maintained a tie for 5th place with Suwon KT, which lost to Goyang Sono that day, with 19 wins and 20 losses.

KCC had a good start.

From the first quarter, KCC’s Heo Woong and Heo Hoon brothers were in full swing.

Heo Woong scored 12 points, including three 3-pointers, and his younger brother Heo Hoon scored 10 points, including one 3-pointer, putting KT ahead 31-22. At one point, the lead expanded to 15 points.

Cheong Kwan Jang gave chase in the second quarter as the defense came back to life.

After game time in the middle of the second quarter, they scored 8 points in a row, starting with Kim Gyeong-won’s under-the-goal scoring, and Park Ji-won’s 3-point shot, leading them to a 3-point lead.

After finishing the first half with the score narrowed to 45-49, Cheong Kwan Jang succeeded in turning the game around in the third quarter.

After Johnny O’Bryant opened the game by scoring, Park Ji-hoon blocked Heo Hoon’s 3-point shot, and in the following attack, O’Bryant hit a 3-pointer to turn the game around at 50-49.

Afterwards, it seemed like they were running away with Moon Yoo-hyun’s bold breakthrough score, but KT came back with consecutive scores from Heo Woong and Sean Long, and a seesaw game unfolded afterwards.

In the fourth quarter, which started with the score at 67-67, it was Han Seung-hee who came forward to solve the problem for Jeong Kwan-jang.

Han Seung-hee, who scored 14 points on this day, scored 11 points, including three 3-pointers, in the fourth quarter, which was the deciding factor.

While Heo Woong took a moment to catch his breath on the bench, Jeong Kwan-jang ran away with Han Seung-hee’s golden 3-pointer following Bryce Washington’s goal.

As KCC tried to catch up with Heo Hoon’s free throw, Han Seung-hee hit another 3-pointer.

Afterwards, KCC’s defense was shaken rapidly, and Seunghee Han and Lenz Abando took advantage of the gap by hitting consecutive 3-point shots to increase the lead.

Seunghee Han blocked Sean Long’s shot and then hit a mid-range shot, quickly increasing the lead to 83-69, 14 points, with 5 minutes and 26 seconds left, playing a key role in the victory.

Jihoon Park scored 22 points and O’Bryant scored 16 points.

Heo Woong (21 points) and Heo Hoon (23 points) combined for 44 points for KCC, but suffered two consecutive losses.
