It’s cold, frosty and snowy outside, so let’s warm up with a movie at the cinema or on the sofa while watching a series. And that there will be a lot to watch in February – there are two worthwhile news coming to the Czech HBO Max. A serial phenomenon Heated Rivalry they weren’t Burning rivalry about two hockey stars who keep a hot secret in the boys’ world of professional hockey. Happened Schnirch – HBO Max
It’s only February, but we’re pretty sure you won’t see a better Czech film this year. And quite possibly not only this year. The adaptation of Kateřina Tučková’s novel, which won the Magnesia Litera award, is superbly acted and with an extremely powerful story in which personal destinies mix with the turbulent history of the 20th century. Expect a review soon, but we recommend watching both parts of the two-part film now.

The flood – negative
At first glance, the story of a girl who aspires to become a pilot in Slovakia in the 1980s (and their village is about to flood) may not sound like a big attraction. But it would be a mistake to miss him. It’s getting fantastic reviews.

Superdog Karlík – negative
Dog superhero, cat villain, voiced by Owen Wilson. Sure, this tip is here for those who are looking for something to do with the kids, and ideally don’t want to die of boredom while doing it.

In hiding – negative
And this tip is here again for the viewers, whatever they want to Karlík brainwash. Because they’ll see Jason Statham as an elite assassin statham all the non-stathams in classic Statham action!

Burning rivalry – HBO Max
You probably already are Heated Rivalry registered. The hit series from the overseas league is breaking viewership numbers and receiving one rave review after another. The closed, masculine world of top sport is broken by the secret love affair of two hockey players – and this queer story attracts both viewers and viewers with its really sexy treatment.

February 10th

Ferina Lišák – Disney+
In the original The Artful Dodger is the funny and suspenseful spectacle he inspired Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. If you like thieves and swindlers, even with a heart of gold, we recommend watching the first series and following up with the second in February.

February 12

Wuthering Heights – negative
You also know the classic book template as On Větrná Hůrcethis time Margot Robbie dives into a raging dark romance.

Path of crime – negative
Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo or Halle Berry in a crime thriller about an elusive criminal who decides to commit one last robbery.

Stur – negative
Don’t be fooled, this film is not meant to be a dry story of an important figure in Slovak history. Fans of romantic dramas will get their money’s worth.

Christy – negative
In January, it was a spicy and sexy thriller Helperthis time Sydney Sweeney will appear in a rather different position – as a real professional boxer Christy Martin.

February 18

I’m Gordon Ramsay – Netflix
The popular chef’s tough guy may have softened a bit over the years, but maybe it’s all the more fun. Check out his family life and culinary career on Netflix.

A parasite from a cooler – negative
A horror comedy in which Joe Keery or Steve from Stranger Things (how did you like the finale?) and Liam Neeson battle a deadly parasite. So maybe the humor will be contagious, and not embarrassing…

February 19

Father Mother Sister Brother – negative
The best film of the Venice festival is a sometimes bitter, sometimes playful comedy by Jim Jarmusch, which combines a couple of stories about family relationships. With everything that belongs to it and that we ourselves know well.

February 26

Wizard of the Kremlin – February 26
Jude Law is Vladimir Putin. Paul Dano is a PR wizard and manipulator who will help build Putin’s Russia. That sounds promising.

Scream 7 – negative
Don’t laugh, you read that right. The iconic and volatile horror series is back – and so is the main character Neve Campbell, who you could see in several previous installments, including the first one.

Bridgerton – Netflix
We don’t like Netflix’s habit of splitting series into multiple installments, but that’s just the way it is. Favorites Bridgerton the second part of the fourth series will romantically distract you at the end of February.

February 27th

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters – Apple TV
The second season of the successful series from the world of hollow earth, giant monsters and all-powerful corporations will hopefully take us back exactly where we want: to the world of hollow earth, giant monsters and all-powerful corporations.
