Robin Veldman was disappointed with the result after the match between SC Heerenveen and FC Utrecht. The Frisians did not get further than a 1-1 draw, although the head coach thinks his team deserved more.
“We didn’t start well and some harsh words were said about that during half-time. We expected differently from the way Utrecht played the build-up,” Veldman said. Omrop Fryslân. “I also thought that we had to grow into the game in the first fifteen minutes, instead of already being there.”
“We didn’t sell ourselves enough there, but after that we managed very well for 75 minutes,” the head coach continues. “We should have just scored ourselves. We show nice football to create chances, but I think we have to be more effective in the box. Getting to that box is not enough to score goals.”
“As a result, we are stuck with one goal, if you look at dominance there is much more to it. “If you were in the stands, I think you saw a very nice match that goes up and down a bit. In which we are largely dominant. If you look at the result, it is disappointing in the dominance we have had,” Veldman said.
