Nilson Angulo left Anderlecht this Monday evening to join Sunderland, but a rumor is circulating around his transfer. According to certain sources, the Brussels club would have granted, in the agreement concluded with the Colombian club LDU Quito, a percentage of 30% on resale. What is wrong.
The resale percentage included in Angulo’s contract is well below 30%, according to informed sources. The exact figures are not disclosed, but it is clear that Anderlecht are not conceding as big a financial loss as the rumor suggests.
The 22-year-old Ecuadorian winger leaves Anderlecht for Sunderland, where he will take the place of Simon Adingra. Angulo was considered one of the few true wingers capable of making a difference with the ball in the core, which makes his start sportingly tricky. Anderlecht will therefore not have to pay 30% of the amount of Nilson Angulo’s transfer to his former club.
On the Mauves side, the search for a new winger quickly began. Coba Da Costa, active at Getafe, finally succeeds Angulo. He can occupy the left flank and bring experience in a European championship.
