A sad example of ordinary sexism live on television. Saturday evening, Daniel Bravo stood out with a misogynistic comment made on Bein Sports. Accompanied by journalist Christophe Josse, the consultant commented on the draw between Paris FC and Olympique de Marseille (2-2).
At the hour mark, with OM leading by two goals, the director of the match chose a shot on Gaëtane Thiney, sports director of the PFC women’s section. While the former France team player made gestures with her hands, potentially to explain a tactical detail to her interlocutor, Bravo commented on her gesture.
“Not very attentive”
“She’s not very attentive,” he said at first, seeming to have an idea in mind. His colleague commenting then tried to redirect him so as not to go off-piste. “She’s like you Daniel, she gives technical explanations,” corrected Josse.
Insufficient: “I have the impression that she was talking about lingerie,” said the former French international, before adding the word “clothing”, despite the journalist’s disapproval. The ex-Paris Saint-Germain player let out a burst of laughter, visibly proud of his sexist outing.
