Brian Wassink and Ties van der Lecq set the tone for the afternoon by overpowering their opponents in the men’s doubles, securing a 21-6, 21-12 victory in record time. The standout result for Roosterse came in the men’s singles, where Vihaan Shah edged out experienced campaigner Dion Rovers in a tightly contested three-game battle, winning 21-10, 16-21, 21-17. Jasper Koppen and Stefanie Nijsse added a convincing victory in the second mixed doubles rubber to cement the team score.
Velo Badminton’s two points arrived via the women’s singles matches. Amy Tan outlasted Flore Vandenhoucke in an extended three-game encounter, while Veda Diemel earned a straightforward two-game triumph over Lien Lammertyn.
