PSV chairman Peter Meinhardt is happy about the future. The Leeraner association has many helpers who help where there is need.
Leer – Around 40 members accepted the invitation to the New Year’s reception of the Postsportverein (PSV) Leer. They heard good news: “Our club is financially solid and well positioned in terms of sport,” explained chairman Peter Meinhardt. “The facility is in top condition and anyone who takes a look at the occupancy of the parking spaces will immediately see that there is something going on at PSV all week long.”
Meinhardt looked back on the year 2025. He named the inauguration of the “Watten Vision Station” and the joint spring festival with SC 04 Leer as highlights. The cooperation with the neighboring association is a sign of functioning cooperation, said the chairman. With a blood donation, an Oktoberfest, the “Tour de Boule” with around 130 participants and the traditional beach volleyball tournament, PSV was able to present itself as a well-functioning club. The current homepage also contributes to this.
Achieved success in badmington
Meinhardt highlighted the successes of the badminton department in the state league as well as at association and district level as sporting successes. “Our work operations run in the background, but are absolutely crucial,” explained the chairman and listed work that was carried out in the clubhouse and on the facility over the year. “It didn’t happen by itself, it needed a lot of helping hands,” he said.
This year PSV would like to set up a padel division. It is a variation of the game of tennis. Access routes to the sports facility are to be expanded and the boules pitches are to be expanded. Play equipment for children should be set up. The club also wants to purchase a defibrillator.
