The four components of youth gang defeated yesterday by the police were already known to the police. In recent months, in fact, they had become protagonists of the cracks hey damage who had terrorized Piazza del Popolo. They are also suspected of running the drug dealing squares of the historic center, including that of the bus terminal. A few weeks ago they were stopped and found in possession of knives and pepper spray. Furthermore, two of them had already been reported last October and were under investigation because they were connected to the multi-ethnic clan that ended up in prison for kidnapping and the torture to a young woman domiciled in Fermo. On that occasion, the victim, who was sitting near the Lido Tre Archi area, was forcibly taken from a car carrying three known criminals, forced to board the vehicle, which was taken to Porto Sant’Elpidio, where the group joined other accomplices on board a second car and then added a house in Lapedona, the home of another Tunisian. There the boy had been tortured for three and a half hours: violently beaten, burned with boiling oil on his right arm, hit with a baseball bat, cut with a knife and beaten with glass bottles and a chair. Once the torture was over, the ten criminals had the young man get back into the car, heading towards the gym in via Aldo Moro in Lido Tre Archi, with the intention of showing him as a warning to anyone who dared to violate the “rules” imposed by their criminal group in the drug dealing squares of the Fermo coast. Precisely at that moment, the policemen of the flying squad, engaged in the territorial control service, had intercepted the two cars and, suspicious of the attitude of the drivers, had decided to proceed with the control: at the sight of the officers, the criminals had fled, however allowing the boy to free himself and ask for help. The frightened and painful young man had begged the police to be removed from that group of people and to be taken to hospital, expressing fear that his tormentors wanted to kill him.
