Stefan Kuntz on HSV Crisis | Podcast Highlights

On January 2nd, Hamburger SV separated from sports director Stefan Kuntz. Unexpectedly, the contract extension was recently imminent after the 63-year-old’s successful work. The return to the Bundesliga after seven years alone represents this. It was said that the separation occurred for private family reasons. But then allegations of alleged sexual harassment emerged. And now the question arises as to whether HSV will be the scene of the first major “Me Too” case in German professional football.

In the new episode of “And Now to Sport,” presenter Anna Dreher discusses the background to a complex case that was supposed to remain secret with the head of the investigative department Ralf Wiegand and Thomas Hürner, northern correspondent for the sports editorial team. Both of them looked into it intensively and also spoke to Kuntz himself for their research.
