This Saturday, January 24, the Badminton Club de Saint-Marcel (BCSM) school was celebrating: all the young people were invited to share the king cake with their supervisors.
The opportunity for Stéphane Carlot, head of the school, to officially announce his retirement in 2027: “ It is time for me, after nearly 40 years of volunteering, to devote myself a little more to my people”words that make sense with their recent new rank of vice-president of the BCSM: he became a grandpa a few weeks ago!
Obviously, the one who has worked 10 years for their club will not leave “just like that”, little by little he will pass the baton to the one who has been supporting him for several seasons already: the young vice-treasurer, Jean Gabriel Dalle.
And then Stéphane will certainly never be far away: “ I will continue to play “bad” of course and participate in major events as a volunteer like for Blackminton for example” he told Info Chalon.
Mr. Mayor, Raymond Burdin, accompanied by his communications assistant, Serge Gonthey, wanted to salute the commitment of the market gardening badminton club to young people.
Then, of course, everyone shared the traditional cake!
The volunteers then returned to work: in fact, that same evening, they received 60 of their licensees for their annual banquet in the Alfred Jarreau village hall.
To keep up with BCSM news, it’s always ici !
