The president of Boca Juniors, Juan Roman Riquelme confirmed who will be the first signing in this summer transfer market and shared when he will arrive in the country to join the team led by Claudio Úbeda.
In a conversation with AZZ, the Xeneize leader revealed that the arrival of Angel Romero is on track and in the coming hours he will become the first signing in this transfer window.

The 33-year-old Paraguayan comes with his transfer in hand after his stint with Corinthians in Brazil and will sign a one-season contract with the Ribera team, with the option to renew it for another year.
“Tomorrow, the day after, or Monday, hopefully we can have him with us,” Riquelme began saying about Ángel Romero’s arrival. He also detailed on the matter: “The club’s lawyers are already exchanging papers with Ángel’s lawyers and hopefully tomorrow or the day after we can inform Boca fans that he will be with us. It indicates that it will happen.”
The Xeneize president was blunt with the team: “We haven’t won, we’ve always been right at the door. We need to take that step because we have to acknowledge it, we have to achieve it. And this squad already has those players that we were all happy about, some have been here for a year, others for six months, and well, this year we have to push them to the maximum because they have to bring us a lot of joy, right?”
The Xeneize officially starts the year against Riestra.
In the same vein, he added: “They know very well that they need to win, that they need to see Boca fans happy because they like going to Rosario and having people wait for them at the hotel, going to Santiago and having people wait for them at the hotel, playing at La Bombonera and it’s always packed.”
