The Philadelphia 76ers managed to win at home against the Houston Rockets after overtime, but without an error by the referees the game could have been closed even in regulation. In fact, with 1.3 seconds left, Tyrese Maxey had placed the ball on the backboard before Kevin Durant came to block his shot: according to the rules it should have been a valid basket, but the referees considered the block to be regular. Since there was no whistle, the Sixers bench could not call the challenge to force the officials to review the call. The game then continued with a two-ball called for a whistle that inadvertently went off the line and in overtime the Sixers prevailed 128-122
