Seznam TV Viewership Surges in December

In December, Seznam TV increased its viewership share by almost 21 percent year-on-year. It currently has a share of 2.78 percent in the market of domestic television stations. With its December and Christmas program schedule, it reached a total of 3.3 million viewers in the target group of 18 to 69 years, respectively 4.8 million viewers in the target group over four years old. At Christmas, it became the fourth most watched domestic station.

Television Seznam celebrated success with its Christmas offer full of traditional Czech fairy tales. The total share in the target group of 18 to 69 years for the period from December 22 to 26 was five percent. The hit was 2.45 million viewers. On December 23 and 24, Seznam TV became the fourth most watched station in the Czech Republic, reaching 1.98 million viewers, or 2.7 million in the age group over four years old.

The most watched program became the fairy tale Three Nuts for Cinderella, broadcast on December 23. It recorded a 16.54% share. In reruns on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, the share was 13.49% and 8.45%, respectively. In total, even with reruns, it was watched by more than 1.27 million viewers in the target group of 18 to 69 years, respectively 1.76 million in the group older than four years.

Televize Seznam is among the five TV channels with the largest year-on-year increase in market share in the audience group older than four years. It increased its stake to 2.02% share, which is 24 percent more than last year. It did well in prime time and overall daytime airing. In the 18- to 69-year-old group, it obtained an average share of 2.16 percent.

Rich film and series offer for this year

During the first months of the new year, viewers can look forward to a good portion of tension and strong human stories in the form of Czech series. Television Seznam will offer them, for example, the crime series Oh those murders with the star of Czech cinema Jiřina Bohdalová, the return of the legendary Sanitka 2, where Jaromír Hanzlík or Dagmar Havlová will shine, as well as the continuation of the fates of doctors in the series Hospital on the edge of the city – new fates with Josef Abrhám, Lucía Vondráčková, Saša Rašilov, Eliška Balzerová, Richard Krajč and others. Lovers of detective stories will also enjoy Kriminálka Staré Město, in which Milan Lasica and Matěj Hádek investigate complicated cases.

There will also be Czech film legends such as Black Barons, Tank Battalion, Summer with a Cowboy, Girl on a Broom, General School and others. From the detective stories, for example, The Duck Trap, The Case of the Dead Man or Motive for Murder.

Fans of the charismatic detective Kojak, who will be solving his cases on the screens from January, will enjoy the foreign acquisition work.

And for humor lovers, Televize Seznam will offer popular French comedies with Jean Paul Belmond, Louis de Funes, Pierre Richard and Italian ones with Paolo Villaggio.
