In Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt has decided to change course. The club has formalized the end of its collaboration with coach Dino Toppmöller, a strong choice which could have direct repercussions on Fares Chaïbi. The Algerian international indeed benefited from great confidence from the German technician, who had fully integrated him into his sporting project.
To justify this decision, the sports director Markus Krösche spoke of the need for a new lease of life: “After an in-depth internal evaluation carried out jointly by the sports management and the executive board, we have come to the conviction that in view of the negative sporting developments observed in recent weeks, new momentum is necessary. This season, we have not sufficiently responded to our ambition of offering dynamic, aggressive and compact football. »

Arrived at Frankfurt in August 2023 from Toulouse, Chaibi had a convincing first season before experiencing a more difficult period during the following year. This season, Dino Toppmoller had, however, revived him by repositioning him as a midfield relay, a new role which allowed him to find a starting place and a certain continuity in his performances.
After two and a half years spent in Germanythe trajectory of Fares Chaïbi enters a pivotal phase. While awaiting the appointment of a new coach, the future of the Algerian environment remains in limbo. A few months from the 2026 World Cupa step back in the hierarchy would clearly not be in his interest.
