Rugby Federal 2: Unicorns’ Title Bid

After their success against Arras, leader of the group, before the holidays (17-0), the RCA players host Lille Iris with the aim of maintaining pressure on the team in front of them.

Scheduled for last week, the meeting was postponed to this week, forcing the RCA into a real logistical headache. Because the metropolis has issued a decree authorizing only one meeting per field and the senior men play at the same time. Initially scheduled for Abbeville, a partner club, the meeting will finally take place in Condorcet at 4 p.m., after the reserve team’s match. A lesser evil for the Unicorns who will therefore be able to play in front of their audience and on terrain that they know well. Large winners in the first leg (5-41), the Amiens will be largely favourites, but watch out for a Lille team which will clearly have nothing to lose. Opposite, the Northerners have only won one match against Compiègne since the start of the season, far from the level of the Samariennes, but be careful of overconfidence. Because the Amiens squad is overall very young, we will therefore have to show seriousness from the kick-off to put ourselves in the right mood and avoid disappointment. Because the objective is twofold: to win, but also to take the offensive bonus to continue to claim first place in the group. If successful, the hardest part will be behind the Unicorns before the last match against Compiègne.
