After a long, multi-year renovation of the training location, we are happy to have finally arrived back in our “home port”.
Yesterday, January 15th, 2026, the time had come. A small delegation from our organization team now officially set foot on the new hall floor – a feeling of:
“A small step for us, a big step for our members…” overwhelmed each of us.
The hall floor, which is unfortunately not completely new, was given a fresh look, newly drawn lines and an absolute “freshly washed” flair with a lot of effort.
So much for the actually “worst” news, which isn’t actually bad at all. There are certainly a few little things that the operator is aware of and wants to address in the near future; We like to hear that. Rather, we are really looking forward to welcoming our players, guest players and spectators to the hall in the future.
A completely new roof with efficient cold jet technology, new fire/smoke detection systems in the garages, generally updated technology including possible third-of-the-hall audio connection, more modern cladding and impact protection walls, renovated stands, separate changing rooms with new furnishings and, last but not least, even network technology, which will soon also offer WiFi access. Not bad.
Our four-person “starting team” has already completed two test games under the leadership of Chief Jörg Blumenthal. But not before the four eager helpers met in the hall at 6 p.m. and had created good starting conditions for the game.
The cupboards were well organized, the compartments were cleaned sparkling clean, swept, one or two loose materials were sorted, measured, posts were tried out, and finally the club was swung at the end of the action.
We look forward to welcoming you to the new hall. Please don’t forget to bring suitable footwear and bring as little coarse street dirt into the hall as possible. All of this helps to keep the hall in the best possible condition.
