The road to the country’s greatest sporting event has begun.
The Veracruzano Sports Institute (IVD), under the direction of Crisanto Grajales Valencia, announced the first dates of the CONADE 2026 State Selective, where hundreds of young athletes will seek their ticket to the regional and national stages.
The sporting activity will start from January 22 to February 1, concentrating the actions in the disciplines of Cycling, Badminton, Chess and Judo.
After having been held in Tuxpan in the previous edition, cycling returns to Xalapa and Coatepec with an intense calendar that includes all its modalities: Time trial: January 22 and 23 in the Coatepec Bypass.
Mountain: January 24 on the “La Calera” track (old road to Coatepec).
Route: January 25 in the Coatepec Bypass.
Track: From January 22 to February 1 at the Xalapa International Velodrome.
It should be noted that, simultaneously, this venue will host the 2026 National Track Championship, raising the competitive level of the event.
For its part, badminton will define its representatives from January 23 to 25.
The venue will be the Racquet Center in the “Leyes de Reforma” Sports City, in Boca del Río, where the participation of the best exponents of the discipline in the state is expected.

For the end of January and the beginning of February (February 30, 31 and 1), the activity will return to Xalapa with two strategic disciplines:
Judo: The fights will take place in the Gymnasium of the Universidad Veracruzana.
Chess: The “science sport” will define its selections at the headquarters hotel in the state capital.
“These selections are the first step for our Veracruz athletes to reach the National Final of the CONADE 2026 Games with strength,” the institution highlighted.
