Jemelka transferred to Pilsen in the summer of 2022 from Olomouc and is one of the mainstays of the West Bohemian team. The 30-year-old stopper or left back has 217 starts and 12 goals in the Czech league. So far, he has played in 12 matches for the national team.
“Vašek is one of the most experienced players in our squad, so his contribution is both on the field and in the cabin. In addition, he belongs to the Czech national team and I am very happy that he will continue with us,” said the club’s sports director Martin Vozábal. “I’ve already said several times that I feel great at the club and my family is happy in Pilsen. So there was no reason why we couldn’t come to an agreement. I’m glad that we’ve confirmed everything now. I’m very motivated,” said Jemelka.
Doski came to Pilsen a year ago from Slovácko. The 26-year-old left back or midfielder has 90 starts and five goals in the Czech league.
“Merchas is a huge fighter who does not budge an inch on the field. I think he clearly proves why he is with us and why we agreed on a common future,” said Vozábal. “I came to Viktorka with the idea that I wanted to play the biggest matches in the league and cups. I still have this ambition and desire. Extending my contract was a clear choice for me,” said Doski.
Viktoria also extended the contract with midfielder Jiří Panoš and defender Jan Paluska at the training camp in Spain at the weekend.
