The German basketball national player will be available to Orlando Magic again on Sunday after a break of more than a year.
World champion Moritz Wagner is fit again just in time for the “home game” in Berlin and can make his long-awaited comeback in the NBA. As Orlando Magic announced on Saturday evening, the German basketball national player will be available again for the club on Sunday (9 p.m.) in the duel with the New Orleans Pelicans.
Wagner tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee in December 2024 and, among other things, missed the European Championships last summer. Now the suffering is coming to an end after more than a year. Wagner’s younger brother Franz, world and European champion, is expected to continue missing against the Pelicans due to his ankle sprain. Tristan da Silva, also recently injured, could return after back problems.
Orlando meets the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday (7:30 p.m./Prime Video) in Berlin’s Uber Arena. The Wagner brothers were born in the capital and are of course particularly excited about the “Berlin Game 2026”.
