When Vorlický shone with two goals against Karviná in September, it seemed that the top competition had its new star. However, even due to the lack of match condition after a series of serious injuries, the twenty-three-year-old player has not yet been able to break into the main men of coach Jindřich Trpišovský, so he is heading to Zbrojovka on loan.
“Lukáš Vorlický is a very above-standard player in the offensive phase, who has the ability to decide matches. We are convinced of his qualities and believe that he will be a great asset to the team. At the same time, he is a player who grew up playing football in Brno. He is an armorer who has a positive relationship with the club,” summed up Zbrojovka sports director Martin Jiránek.
In the person of Vorlický Zbrojovka, they got a completely above-standard player for the second league. With his technical equipment, the native of Boskovic surpasses even the highest competition, which is also why Artis, for example, stood for him.
However, the versatile player, who can play on the wing and in the middle of the reserve, is finally heading to the club that brought him up and sent him to a big job in Italy. “Zbrojovka has meant pride and strength to me since I was a child. I perceive that the club has great ambitions, and I am aware of my responsibility towards all the fans,” Vorlický noted.
Zbrojovka also used the opportunity to introduce the second winter reinforcement and presented it with a moving video. First, she showed Vorlický photos from his youth years at the club, then Vladimír Chaloupka welcomed the new addition to the Youth Training Center in Brněnské Ivanovice. So the man who guided Vorlický during his first engagement at the Brno club is currently working in Zbrojovce in the role of head coach of the academy.
It was Chaloupka who was one of the important men who significantly helped the creative midfielder on his way to a transfer to Atalanta, but Vorlické’s Italian engagement was ruined by repeated serious injuries. Although he managed to make his debut in Serie A, he was subsequently threatened with the end of professional football due to several knee surgeries.
At least six months in Brno
Vorlický was offered a chance by Slavia, where he transferred to last summer. “Lukáš is a great player and footballer. He needs to play because he has been out for a very long time. He has to get in shape and unfortunately it is not possible to give him so much space here. We are all keeping our fingers crossed for him. It is up to him. We all know that he is Mr. Footballer,” explained Zdeněk Houštecký, assistant coach of Slavia, for the club’s website.
Vorlický joined the Brno club on a six-month loan without a subsequent option, before leaving he extended his contract with Slavia, to which he will return in the summer. However, there is also a possibility that he would continue in Brno in the fall, Zbrojovka also announced in a press release when introducing the second winter reinforcements that the creative midfielder will work in its squad at least until the end of the current season.
It will depend on Vorlický’s performance and his health, which will affect Slavia’s summer attitude.
