Transfer hit in the Hamburg Oberliga: Werder Bremen’s ex-captain Max Kruse is moving to friend Martin Harnik.

“The idea of returning to Hamburg has actually been around since the end of my active professional career,” says the Reinbek native Max Kruse quoted in the club’s announcement. “I’m all the more pleased that it has finally worked out almost three years later. With TuS Dassendorf, I absolutely chose the right address. My father grew up and went to school in Dassendorf, and I come from the neighboring town.”
Last had Max Krusewho played 85 Bundesliga games (32 goals, 26 assists) in his career Werder Bremen played for the Berlin district league team BSV Dersimspor II after the end of his professional career in 2023 with second division club SC Paderborn. Now the ex-professional wants to know it again and attack two leagues higher: “I’m really looking forward to really great games in the top league (…) and playing together with Martin again. That will definitely be a highlight.”
