Ruben Van Gucht is perhaps the most discussed man in Belgian journalism in 2025. The commentator, radio maker and analyst mainly came into the picture for his actions in addition to his profession.
That Ruben Van Gucht has believed in an open relationship for longer than today? That is now common knowledge. But the fact that he has other partners besides his wife Blanka Vlasic – a celebrated high jumper in Croatia with whom he has a son Mondo – came as a bombshell here and there.

Van Gucht received a lot of criticism because of the way in which something was shown here and there – for example, legs were once visible during a live intervention from a hotel in Germany.

“I keep a list of all the partners I have already had,” says Van Gucht. “And not because I want to be proud of the number that is there, but rather for a romantic reason. I don’t want to forget anyone.”
Van Gucht also made it clear that he did not put any odds or figures with the names and that it was therefore purely about the names. At that moment he didn’t want to go on about how long the list was, but in de of the wedWatchers Ward Lemmelijn asked him how many there were now and van Gucht could no longer deny that: “There are 69, one was recently added.”
