WSL Full-Time was informed of the news via an official club press release issued by the Hammers earlier today.
The 19-year-old Turkish youth international has signed with the East Londoners until the summer of 2028.
Cemal is a product of West Ham United’s Professional Game Academy League team and this season he has managed to make the step up to the first team. The youngster made four appearances for the Hammers in all competitions during the first half of the campaign.
The defender has a great future ahead of her and, therefore, West Ham United have decided to retain her services on a professional basis.
After signing with the Hammers, Cemal said: “This is a very proud moment for me and my family. It is every player’s dream to sign a professional contract, so it is incredible to have signed mine with West Ham. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me along the way and to the Club for showing their faith in me.
“It’s amazing how much you can develop in a place like this. It’s a special environment here and everyone brings a lot to the group – it’s a great group of girls. I’m surrounded by experienced players who I can learn from, both on and off the field, and I feel like I’ve already had a lot of opportunities to improve.
“I still have a lot of work to do and contribute, but I want to continue developing as much as I can and be the best version of myself.”
West Ham United will return to action after the winter break when they visit Chelsea on Sunday.
