FEB Referees: New Technical Area Updates

These are two people, Pere Munar and Alberto Baena, with a proven track record in the refereeing world at the highest level, and also as technical managers in very varied fields and always linked to refereeing.

Peter Munar He is a former ACB referee with 12 years as a professional referee, he began refereeing in 1994, and with more than 30 years of experience as an active referee. He participated in several summer leagues, U-20 circuits and the Queen’s Cup. Also, Pere has collaborated with the Catalan Basketball Federation as Technical Manager of the Referees Committee and informant.

Alberto Baena He is an active ACB and Euroleague Basketball referee. He has experience in the ACB and EuroCup Playoffs, and participated as a guest in the NBA Summer League 2025. Professionally, he has worked in referee training and match analysis for the Refereeing Departments of FIBA, Euroleague Basketball, the Catalan Basketball Federation and the National Professional Basketball League of Mexico.

Both responded positively to the call from the FEB and immediately joined the Spanish Children’s and Cadet Championship in Zaragoza with all the enthusiasm and desire to contribute their grain of sand, participating in the continuous training of our FEB referees.
