The Cameroonian center began the season with a wide minutes restriction, but things have changed until he is averaging 31.3 minutes on the court compared to 22.3 in October. Furthermore, his scoring contribution has gone from 17.3 points per night to 25.9… The jump is big and he himself admits that he feels like that player who was capable of dominating on the hardwood.
«Two years ago, I felt like I could score 40 or 50 points every night. I’m starting to get closer to that feeling. “I can be more aggressive, but also smarter… making sure everyone else participates,” he says before talking about the understanding he feels with Tyrese Maxey.
“We have always had a good connection in the game between us… My main task is to make the game easier for all these kids,” he emphasizes in relation to letting go of scoring responsibility to shine more in other tasks.
