The Spanish Championship of Children’s and Cadet Regional Teams is here, the first major event of the season that will be held in Zaragoza from January 3 to 7. A tournament with almost a thousand players and four titles at stake.
ALL MATCHES ON CANALFEB AND YOUTUBE/FEB | The offer is doubled and the 200 games can be seen both on the usual CanalFEB, with prior registration, and on the YouTube channel of the Spanish Basketball Federation, completely free. Almost 400 hours of live basketball.
ZARAGOZA TAKES OVER FROM HUELVA | There have been seven consecutive editions in Huelva (nine of the last ten), and now it is Zaragoza that takes over the baton of the Andalusian province. Great infrastructure, a city with a great basketball tradition and an ideal location to hold this great tournament.
FEMALE CADET – THE CASTELLANOLEONESE REVÁLIDA | Two years ago Castilla y León was crowned children’s champion at the Andrés Estrada with a very talented generation. Now they have a major challenge: defend that title against powerful teams from Catalonia (20 titles under their belt), Madrid (winner in 2024) or the Valencian Community (which won a double in 2021 and 2022).
MALE CADET – THE GREAT DUEL MADRID/CATALONIA | The final of the last edition, between Madrid and Catalonia, is the most repeated in the category. The Madrid team dominates the record, with 14 titles, while the Catalans have 11, including those in 2024 and 2025. This year they come with players with great future such as Maker Bol, Aniel Fevry, Daniel Villalba or Jan Martín.
FEMALE CHILDREN – THE GREAT ANDALUSIAN GENERATION | Two years ago this 2012 generation triumphed in the Mini with very talented players. Now they start as favorites and as number 1 seeds in a category historically dominated by Catalonia, while the current champion is the Comunitat Valenciana. Madrid, the Canary Islands, Galicia or Aragon will also have their options in Zaragoza.
MALE CHILDREN – TALENTS IN TRAINING | They are 13 and 14 years old and a few months can be a long time in the projection of these players. An unpredictable category, with Catalonia as the number 1 seed (it won in the Mini two years ago) and with Madrid as its main rival (21 titles for the first and 15 for the second). The Valencian Community seems to be the third party in contention.
