Sylvain Rouyer is crowned regional champion in fighting (less than 62 kilos) and bronze medalist in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He qualified for the 2026 French championships. Suellen Fernandes Dallagnol is a double bronze medalist (less than 63 kilos). Nathan Sarthou and Bienvenu Akoun respectively won the bronze medal in fighting and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, while Rémi Dischert obtained the bronze medal in fighting (less than 94 kilos).

A team spirit

Put succinctly, fighting (or combat jiu-jitsu) is a complete, spectacular and intense discipline that combines percussion (foot-fists), throws (judo) and ground combat (submissions). Unlike judo, which favors projection, Brazilian jiu-jitsu focuses almost exclusively on ground combat. The objective is to overpower your opponent through control and submission techniques.

According to Rémi Dischert, “beyond the medals, it is the team spirit and hard work that allowed the club to shine. We are now turning towards the objective of the French senior and para jiu-jitsu championships in Lormont, in 2026.”
