The year 2025 was one of records for Jimmy Gressier.
He first broke the French indoor record for the 5,000m, then that for the 3,000m, before setting the European indoor record for the 5,000m.
The first European to go under 13 minutes, he then won the half-marathon at the European road championships. But the pinnacle of his year came in Tokyo in September, when he became world champion in the 10,000m to everyone’s surprise, before taking bronze in the 5,000m. Incidentally, he also won the 3,000m in Zurich in the Diamond League.
Anthony Jeanjean

Anthony Jeanjean has – almost – finished the game.
Already a three-time European BMX freestyle park champion between 2019 and 2022 and a four-time French champion in the discipline between 2019 and 2023, he won a new national title in 2025.
He also retained the title won in 2024 in the BMX freestyle World Cup by once again finishing first in the general classification for the 2025 edition.
But the real highlight of the seasonAnthony Jeanjean arrived at the beginning of November when he finally won the title that was denied him at the 2025 BMX Freestyle World Championships.
In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, his back was against the wall after falling in the first run but posted an extraordinary second run to finish at 94.44 points. All that remains is for the Biterrois to go for Olympic gold at LA2028 to complete their list of achievements.
