Both players were suspended for fighting Saturday night during a game between Phoenix and New Orleans.
New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jose Alvarado and Phoenix Suns center Mark Williams were respectively sentenced to two and one game suspensions by NBA officials for fighting Saturday night during the game between the two teams.
The incident occurred two minutes six seconds into the third quarter of the game, won by the Suns 123-114 in New Orleans.

Alvarado then fouled Williams, who was trying to set a screen. He responded by pushing him in the back, triggering the rage of the Pelicans leader who threw himself at him and punched him. Williams replied before walking away.
Both players were sent off after this brief scuffle.
Alvarado will not play the Pelicans’ next two games, Monday at home against the New York Knicks then Wednesday in Chicago, and Williams will not be on the Suns’ trip to Washington on Monday.
