In the context of the 13th week of the Pegadaian Championship 2025/2026, Persiraja continues to intensify preparations ahead of the away match against Garudayaksa FC, which will be the only match that Persiraja will play throughout December 2025.
Persiraja Banda Aceh coach, Akhyar Ilyas stated that his team had entered a tactical maturation phase, which was combined with a program to improve the players’ physical condition. According to him, in general the preparations went quite well, although there were obstacles in finding opponents for the trial matches.
“We have entered the tactical stage in preparation for facing Garudayaksa FC, but this is still combined with improving physical condition. One of the obstacles we face is the difficulty of getting trial opponents in Aceh,” said Akhyar.
These difficulties, continued Akhyar, cannot be separated from the condition of the Aceh region which is still affected by the disaster. A number of local teams, including clubs competing in League 4, were forced to stop activities and even disband their teams, so that test match options became very limited.
“As a result of this disaster, many League 4 teams in Aceh have disbanded their teams. This condition makes it really difficult for us to find opponents for trials,” continued the AFC A-licensed coach.
Despite the lack of trial matches, Akhyar ensured that Laskar Rencong continued to maintain the team’s readiness through internal games, match simulations and a variety of training exercises designed to be close to real match situations. He also continues to emphasize the importance of player professionalism in adapting to existing conditions.
Persiraja targets all players to be in optimal physical condition and have a solid understanding of tactics when facing Garudayaksa FC. With quite a long preparation time and only one match in December, the team hopes to make the most of this momentum.
The away match to Pakansari Stadium is considered to be an important test for Persiraja to maintain consistent performance and gain valuable points in the 2025/26 Pegadaian Championship competition. Management and the coaching team hope that all players will be able to display disciplined and focused play in order to bring home positive results from Bogor.
For Persiraja, this match is important to continue to stay away from the relegation zone with only 5 matches remaining or until week 18.
