Maxx Crosby: Season Ends, Knee Surgery Planned

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby will undergo knee surgery that will sideline him for the remainder of the season, according to reports from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

The Raiders therefore placed him on the injured list in order to begin the rehabilitation process for the start of the 2026 season.

Crosby was sidelined for a week in which the Raiders already placed tight end Brock Bowers on injured reserve. That same week, Las Vegas will face the New York Giants on Sunday in a game that could decide who gets the top pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Before the end of his season was confirmed due to this injury, the Raiders’ decision to leave him aside would have greatly upset Crosby, who wanted to give everything on the field despite the possibility that his team obtains the first overall pick in the next draft.

The Raiders and Giants are tied for last in the NFL with a 2-13 record.

According to FOX NFL reporter Jay Glazer, Crosby left the team’s facilities on Friday.

Earlier this week, the defensive end mentioned that he “didn’t care about the draft pick.” I don’t play for that. My job is to be the best defensive end in the world.”

Crosby has 73 tackles this season, including 10 sacks.
