Portugal Stabbing: British Teen Injured – Investigation Launched

According to information from the Portuguese police, both were found with serious injuries. Despite immediate help, they could not be saved and doctors confirmed their deaths on the spot shortly afterwards. The boy’s mother was found with serious injuries. She was taken to the nearest hospital.

Officers were called to the scene after a report of suspected domestic violence. “There was a strong smell of gas inside the house, which moments later led to an explosion in which one of the gardaí was injured,” police said, according to Britain’s Sky News.

The suspected assailant was convicted of murder in the past, and the family was repeatedly registered in connection with domestic violence in previous years.

The British Foreign Office confirmed to Sky News that it is in contact with the Portuguese authorities and is ready to provide the family with the necessary assistance.
