EDC Poul Erik Bech: Denmark Open Badminton 2023

No gold medals, but still a winner: Badminton Denmark’s logistics during the Denmark Open. 🏸 In autumn 2025, the 80th edition of the Denmark Open, the world’s second oldest badminton tournament and the largest annually recurring badminton event in Denmark, was held in Odense. The Danish gold medals did not appear, but Badminton Denmark can look back on a successful event where a new warehouse in Odense made the logistics somewhat easier. Brian Bach Moesgaard, event manager at Badminton Denmark, says: “With a location in the middle of the country, we get shorter transport times, regardless of whether we hold the Denmark Open on Funen, the youth championships in Brøndby or the WC in Horsens. The warehouse passed its first test for the Denmark Open, which was held in the Jyske Bank Arena, less than 4 km from the business park. In previous years, it required a lot of planning to transport materials from Copenhagen, but the new warehouse gave us a good overview of all equipment for the event and made it was possible to move things continuously, which gave us a completely different flexibility than before.” Michael Broni Jørgensen, business broker, EDC Erhverv Poul Erik Bech Fyn, has brokered the rental. He says: “Badminton Denmark has taken over a functional warehouse property of 537 m² with good ceiling height, which makes it possible to handle larger shipments. The property has good access conditions, and with quick access to the E20 motorway, Badminton Denmark is easily connected to the rest of the country. 📌 Read the full article here: https://brnw.ch/21wYDLs
