Revealed by Atlético’s youth teams in 2013, right-back Alex Silva, 31, is Ceará’s new reinforcement. The experienced defender will represent Vozão in Series B of the 2026 Brazilian Championship.
Alex Silva signed a permanent contract with Ceará until the end of next year. He will begin physical work with his new teammates from this Friday (26/12), remotely.
The Ceará club’s squad will report for face-to-face work on January 2nd. The group will be led by Mozart, former Cruzeiro coach, at CT in Porangabuçu.
In 2025, Alex Silva was one of the starters for Coritiba, champion of Series B. At the beginning of the year, he defended Portuguesa.

Alex Silva played 59 games for Atlético in three spells – between 2013 and 2014, in 2016 and, finally, in 2017. When under contract with Galo, he was loaned to Sport, Ferroviária, América, Goiás, Avaí and Coimbra.
Representing the club from Minas Gerais, the right-back won the Recopa Sul-Americana and the Copa do Brasil in 2014. He also boasts two Series B titles (2017 and 2025), a Campeonato Goiano (2018) and a Campeonato Catarinense (2019) in his cup gallery.
