Toni Kroos continues to follow developments around FC Bayern even after his career ends. Looking ahead to the end of the season, he makes two predictions.

Toni Kroos ended his career in the summer of 2024. Despite ultimately failing to win the European Championship, he emerged as one of the most successful German footballers in history and in ten years he also earned status as a Real Madrid club legend.
The Greifswald native still lives in Madrid with his family and, among other things, runs his own youth academy from there. The 35-year-old has not developed such a close relationship with the city and the club with Munich and FC Bayern.
Toni Kroos became a professional in Munich in 2007 and won the Champions League for the first time in his career in 2013. It was also his only triple in his title-studded career. In 2014 he finally moved on to Spain as world champion.
Toni Kroos already congratulates Harry Kane on the title
Since then, he has had a more professional, analytical view of FC Bayern. With Real Madrid he played against Munich six times and didn’t lose a single game. And for the podcast “Einfach mal Luppen”, which he records together with his brother Felix Kroos, he regularly looks at what’s happening at FCB.
This was also the case in the most recent episode. He ventured between looking back at the past year and making a phone call to his grandfather a prediction with a view to Bayern’s top scorer Harry Kane. “Harald will be top scorer. He already is,” said Toni Kroos.
The Englishman leads the Bundesliga top scorers list with an impressive 18 goals, ten goals ahead of second-placed Deniz Undav and Jonathan Burkardt. Given the clear lead, Toni Kroos added: “Is Rainer Holzschuh’s cannon already available in winter?” Reporter legend Holzschuh presented the top scorer’s cannon as editor of “Kicker” for years, but died in 2021.

In Toni Kroos’s opinion, Kane wouldn’t have to celebrate alone if he was presented with the trophy as the league’s best goalscorer early. “He can then bring the trophy straight away,” says the DFB legend in the championship race.
After 14 matchdays, Bayern are still undefeated and are nine points ahead of their pursuers Leipzig and Dortmund. When Munich recently dropped points against Mainz, their pursuers also stumbled.
Things are likely to get even more exciting in the race for the top scorer. At least one of our competitors, Undav, has been in impressive form recently. “Undav made seven out of eight last week”joked Toni Kroos, referring to the national player’s haul.
In fact, Undav has scored seven of his eight Bundesliga goals since the start of November, while Kane has only scored six times in the league during the same period.
When does FC Bayern play and where will the game be shown on TV?
At the end of the year, FC Bayern will play against 1. FC Heidenheim on Sunday, December 21st. The game starts at 5:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on Dazn.
