PSG: Aminata Diallo Attack Trial Ordered

The Versailles prosecutor’s office has requested a trial against Aminata Diallo, former PSG and French team player, suspected of having ordered the attack on her former teammate Kheira Hamraoui in 2021, we learned on Tuesday from sources close to the case, confirming information from L’Équipe.

According to these sources, the prosecution requested that the footballer, who plays for the Saudi club Al-Nassr, be tried for complicity in aggravated voluntary violence – in particular by giving instructions to commit the attack – and participation in a group with a view to preparing one or more crimes.

Ms. Diallo “appears to be the direct beneficiary of the physical aggression of her teammate,” detailed the prosecution according to these judicial sources, describing the footballer as the “sponsor” of the attack. A trial before the criminal court is also required against six other people, including César Mavacala, sports advisor to several Parisian players and close to Ms. Diallo.

An attack with iron bars

On November 4, 2021, former Paris Saint-Germain player Kheira Hamraoui was attacked in Chatou (Yvelines) with iron bars and hit on the legs by two men, in front of Aminata Diallo, while the two players were returning by car from a team dinner.

After the attack on the PSG midfielder, a judicial investigation was opened for criminal conspiracy and aggravated violence. The investigation was then broadened into organized gang fraud due to suspicions of actions in Aminata Diallo’s entourage, an offense for which the prosecution requested a dismissal of the case.

“These requisitions are a smokescreen,” reacted to AFP Romain Ruiz, Mourad Battikh and Chloé Redon, who defend Ms. Diallo. Aminata Diallo did not commit these acts and we will demonstrate it whatever the artifices of the accusation,” they add.

As for César Mavacala, the prosecution requested his dismissal for exercising the activity of sports agent without a license, but not for extortion in an organized gang, facts for which he requested a dismissal of the case.

“We welcome this position,” declared Sandrine Pégand, lawyer for César Mavacala, for whom this demonstrates that “there is not sufficient evidence to justify a referral to a court.” She did not wish to comment further on her client’s referral requests for the other offenses.

Kheira Hamraoui, 42 caps for the French team, signed in 2025 with the Saudi club Al-Hilal. Aminata Diallo left PSG in June 2022 and is currently playing for another Saudi club, that of Al-Nassr.
