Le Puy Foot 43 on an impressive series before facing Bordeaux

Puy Foot hosted FC Fleury at home for the 16th day of National 1 and won 2-1 after being down 0-1. After Loup Hervieu opened the scoring in the second half, Fleury thought he had done the hard part. But Clément Rodrigues equalized from the penalty spot, before Marvin Adélaïde, who had just come on, gave his team victory in the final minutes.

In the ranking, Le Puy Foot occupies 7th place, just three points from the podium, while Fleury is 9th. Thanks to this success, the future opponent of the Girondins gains two places and continues to get closer to the top of the table.

Stéphane Dief’s men thus gain confidence before hosting the Girondins de Bordeaux this Sunday at the Stade Massot.

The course of Puy Foot in the Coupe de France

This season, Puy Foot 43 started the Coupe de France in the 5th round against Espinat, D2 (0-2), before winning largely against Cournon, R2 (0-5). The club then followed up with a narrow victory against ASPTT Dijon, N3 (0-1), then got the better of Chalon-sur-Saône, N3 (0-1) during the previous round.

Note that Puy Foot displays a dynamic comparable to that of the Girondins, with six consecutive victories in all competitions and above all ten matches without defeat (nine victories and one draw). The last setback for the future Bordeaux opponent dates back to October 3, in National 1 against Caen (2-0).
