Pietro Lentini awarded the historic recognition of “Meritorious Master”. It was awarded by the FIJLKAM Federation, during the technical teacher refresher course held in Catania.
The title of Meritorious Master is an honorary recognition of the highest prestige, awarded in the sporting field – particularly in martial arts such as Judo and Karate – to federal technicians who, after decades of career, have demonstrated excellent technical competence, absolute dedication and ethical commitment in the training of athletes and in the diffusion of the most authentic values of sport, going well beyond the simple teaching of the discipline. This is an award given for particular merits and for a life entirely dedicated to sport, assigned by federations – such as FIJLKAM – to reward excellence, perseverance and the human and social contribution offered over time. It is not a basic technical qualification, but the pinnacle of recognition of a career, based on: over 40 years of activity, a very high level technical competence, a constant educational and training commitment, a fundamental social contribution in the territory to which it belongs. It is a lifelong qualification, which recognizes the role of the teacher not only as a technician, but as an educator, guide and promoter of sporting values. It is awarded to those who have trained thousands of athletes, dedicating their entire existence to sport and the growth of people.
