The last weekend of November, the sports section of the rural home d’Aulnay transformed the college gymnasium into a real competition field. For three days, more than 120 archers coming from all over the region, and even from Nancy, competed against each other during the annual competition archery in the room. A particularly well-attended edition, marked by great local performances.
By Friday evening, volunteers were installing the thirteen targets intended for the four shooting starts. The categories represented ranged from U13 to Senior 3, in recurve, compound and bare bow. The first shot, reserved for young beginners, took place at 15 meters, while the following three constituted qualifying competitions at 18 meters for the French indoor championships. The presence of Julie Rigault-Chupin, para-archer from the Ruelle-sur-Touvre club, member of the France Handi team since 2015 and several times medalist at European and World championships, also marked this edition. She notably ranked 5e at the Tokyo 2020 and 6 Paralympic Gamese to Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
