The FFF Executive Committee has validated the general competition calendar for the 2026-2027 season with the dates of Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Ligue 2 BKT and the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole.
The main lines of next season are drawn. The 2026-2027 general calendar was ratified by the Executive Committee of the FFF, meeting this Friday, December 12, 2025 around its president Philippe Diallo.
It includes in particular the date of the 2026 Champions Trophy (August 15), the program for Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Ligue 2 BKT as well as that of the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole, the final of which will take place on Saturday May 15, 2027.
The calendar for the 2026-2027 season
The calendars for other national men’s and women’s competitions – championships and cups – will be communicated later.
LIGUE 1 MCDONALD’S
Ligue 1 McDonald’s will begin on the weekend of August 23, 2026, the date of the first day, and end, during D34, on Saturday May 29, 2027. At the end of January 2027, the eighteen clubs will complete the first leg (weekend of the 24th) and begin the return phase (weekend of the 31st). No days will take place during the week this season.

- Accession play-off first leg (winner PO L2/16th L1): Thursday June 3, 2027

LEAGUE 2 BKT
With a kick-off set for Saturday August 8, 2026, Ligue 2 BKT will get underway first. Until Saturday May 22, 2027, 34 days will be played, before the play-offs then the play-offs. The last day before the winter break will be the 15th day and will be played on Friday December 11, 2026. Like Ligue 1 McDonald’s, Ligue 2 BKT will resume at the beginning of January 2027 (weekend of the 2nd). No days are scheduled during the week.

CRÉDIT AGRICOLE FRANCE CUP
For its 110th edition, the Coupe de France – renamed the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole in 2025-2026 – will see the residents of Ligue 2 BKT join the amateur clubs still in the running for the 7th round, set for the weekend of November 14, 2026. The field will be completed by those of Ligue 1 McDonald’s just before the Christmas holidays, since the 32nd finals will be played on Sunday December 20, 2026. The final will take place on Saturday May 15, 2027.

CHAMPIONS TROPHY
The Champions Trophy, which pits the French champion against the winner of the Coupe de France Crédit Agricole, will take place on the weekend of August 15, 2026.
In addition, the winter break will extend from Monday December 21 to Thursday December 31, 2026.
The general calendar for the 2026-2027 season
International
The end of the 2025-2026 season will be marked by the FIFA World Cup, the 26th in history and the first with 48 teams. It will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The Blues will launch their next exercise a little later than usual with a first two-week gathering at the end of September-beginning of October.
