Castilla-La Mancha will once again have a sports training centerwhich will develop state badminton and para-badminton programsafter gymnastics was closed in 2014 with the then Government of María Dolores de Cospedal.
This is how he gave it to … meet this Tuesday the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Amador Pastor, at the signing of an agreement between the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the regional Badminton Federation for the management of the facilities of the Inclusive Sports Technology Center of Castilla-La Mancha “because it brings together the experience and technical capacity necessary to promote it.”
Specifically, the Ministry undertakes to delegate to the Badminton Federation of Castilla-La Mancha the management, use and exploitation of the center’s facilities and undertakes to actively collaborate with the Federation in the implementation and development of the Parabadminton State Technique Sports Program and in the development of sporting events that take place at the facilities; among other actions.
For its part, the Federation undertakes, in addition to the obligations already mentioned, to prepare and send to the Ministry the sports programming per season and anticipated future uses of the facilities.
«We want this center to be a reference also for new generations. That children can come, see you train, learn from you and discover that sport is a right for everyone, without exceptions,” the counselor stressed.
Finally, Pastor recalled that Castilla-La Mancha has made an unprecedented investment effort in recent years, reaching more than 2.5 million euros allocated to sports for people with disabilities in direct aid, programs, events and specific support.
Aid to elite athletes
On the other hand, Pastor has indicated that the Government of Castilla-La Mancha is going to publish this Wednesday the final resolution of the call for aid to elite athletes, endowed with 380,000 euros and which will benefit 182 athletes.
The counselor has highlighted that the most notable data of this aid is that the average amount received by female athletes is higher than the average for men or that in the subsidy for elite athletes in 2025 there are eleven women who have received a subsidy for attending the Paris Olympic Games.
