ASUNCION (Paraguay) – Ferro was the most dominant team in the 2025 South American Basketball League and this Sunday it confirmed it by being crowned undefeated champion after beating Regatas Corrientes in the Grand Final, in the duel of Argentine teams, with a score of 85-68.
The Buenos Aires-based team defined the match with an impressive third quarter in which they went on a 33-13 run to lead 69-50 entering the final 10 minutes. That gap on the scoreboard was more than enough to later preserve the victory. Eduardo Vasirani, with 19 points, 10 of them in the third quarter and 8 consecutive opening that period, was the leader of Ferro’s attack. In addition, he pulled down 7 rebounds. The center was named Most Valuable of the Final 4, after averaging 14.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals in the two games.

Ferro, as he did throughout the season, made a difference thanks to his good ball movement and collective play. He achieved 19 assists and only lost the ball 9 times, while Regatas gave 11 assists and dribbled the ball 14 times. That cost the Corrientes a 20-8 deficit in points after losses. The triples were also a determining factor with Ferro making 11 to only 4 of his opponents.
