On this occasion, the Azulona team changed the basketball court for the paddle tennis courts. Thus, the grand final was reserved for the coaching staff, with a vibrant duel in which Mikel Garitaonandia and Aketza Zubizarreta finally won over Dani Terrón and David Pérez, proclaiming themselves champions of this sporting activity that left laughter, competitiveness and a special memory for all participants.

The Melilla Basketball Club scheduled a ‘building’ activity this Thursday, aimed at reinforcing coexistence and team spirit between the players and the coaching staff. On this occasion, the squad changed the basketball court for the paddle tennis courts, enjoying a fun session organized on the paddle tennis courts in the Real neighborhood, whose access was facilitated by Sports Facilities of the Autonomous City of Melilla.

The day was possible thanks to the collaboration of the Melillense Padel Federation and the facilities provided, a gesture that the entity wanted to “publicly thank” all these entities for facilitating the Azulón team to enjoy a different day, marked by coexistence, healthy competition and a good atmosphere.

After several draws, the excitement came with the semifinals. Thus, in the first, the couple formed by Darel Poirier and Morgan Stilma faced Dani Terrón and David Pérez, while in the second Mikel Garitaonandia and Aketza Zubizarreta faced Pablo Córdoba and Iván Cruz. The grand final was reserved for the members of the coaching staff, with a vibrant duel in which Mikel and Aketza finally prevailed over Dani and David, proclaiming themselves champions of this sporting day that left laughter, competitiveness and a special memory for all the participants. With this type of activities, the Melilla Basketball Club reinforces not only its sports preparation, but also the cohesion and union of a group that continues to add experiences beyond basketball.
